20th July - A BUSY DAY! :)

What a busy day we had!!!! Do you want to know what happened? Keep reading, and you'll find out!

At the library, students got ready for presenting their magazines with a projector in the meeting room, because it's also important that they get used to presenting topics and giving information to an audience (the rest of students). And this is how well they did; look!

After doing such a great job, we had lunch, and then students could enjoy some free time. After that, we went to meet our international friends for going on a punting tour! We were looking forward to it :)

Afterwards, we had to hurry up, because we had to be punctual for our Taekwondo lesson! This is how our students performed there:

Ready... Steady... Kick!!!!

It had been a really hard day! So we went back home and prepared dinner. After that, they worked a little bit on the Scrapbook, and then everyone went to bed!! :)

19th July - SPEAK, SPEAK, SPEAK...

As you can guess from the title, yesterday our students had many opportunities for expressing themselves and interacting with others in English.

Our students are doing a great job with this week's topic: Ely and Grantchester, which are two beautiful towns in Cambridgeshire. They are gathering loads of information and re-writing it with their own words. Congratulations, guys! :)

After lunch, students could enjoy some free time, and then they joined the English Speaking Corner, at Harry's (the international café). There, everyone had fun talking to people from Canada, England, Scotland... And we even played "Don't say it!". It was great :)

Once at home, we devoted an hour for our Book Club, and students talked about the book they are reading: what it is about, who the main characters are, the authors, etc. So once again, everyone did a great job improving their speaking skills. Amazing!!!!

Afterwards, students cooked some delicious fish and the typically British "Jacked Potatoes"... They are becoming professional cooks, you'll see when they go back to Spain!! ;)

Then, we started our theme night: "Cinema", and their task was to edit the videos recorded during their own College Tour, and create a documentary about it, including some funny bloopers as well! We're looking forward to seeing it, what about you??? :)

Finally, everyone needed some rest! So we prepared our laptop and chose an episode from the TV show "Modern Family", which students really enjoyed, before going to bed.

See you tomorrow!
